- I'm not an expert gardener by a long stretch but I do enjoy growing my plants from seed. I mostly do this because I'm a frugal gardener but I also appreciate how it helps get me through a long Midwest winter.

I totally need to get over there. Hey, maybe next time you're in town we could visit a garden. Have you been to the Oregon Garden or Japanese garden lately?
Or we could just do the Rose Garden - so lovely!

This is lovely. I did not realize that Portland and Suzhou were sister cities. Suzhou is a wonderful city with art galleries and it is simply delightful. I have two scrolls from there that I treasure. It makes sense that the two cities are linked. Wonderful blog site.
